Our town centre meeting is tonight

Don’t forget it’s our meeting tonight (27 February) to start the discussion on whether we should have a rethink of our existing town centre.

Low Pavement in 1974 – before the conservation led redevelopment of the 1980s. There’s been much change since this busy scene was captured. What future now for our town centre in this age of internet and out-of-town shopping? We hope to start the debate at our meeting tonight on how we might rethink our town centre. (Phillip Cousins).

Foremost we want to start the debate about the town centre’s future. This isn’t meant to trample on anyone’s feet – as we are sure that, for example, politicians from all parties generally have the town’s future at heart. But we believe, as our economy continues to take a down-turn, we need to rethink anew, perhaps even radically, about our town centre.

Our meeting is on 27th February at St Thomas Church Centre, Chatsworth Road, Brampton, starting at 7.30 pm, with doors opening at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
